Hank is the original Mr. Home Improvement; he has a mechanical mind and can fix almost anything. He is a remarkably talented designer and builder, having built three houses during his life. His final house -- a two-story residence for his family -- was constructed entirely by himself (over a span of several years) during his spare time, with some assistance from his wife and children during summer vacations.

The only work which was contracted was the excavation. Hank did everything else himself, including
