Both Hank and Terri have performed hundreds of hours of service for church and community.

Hank most notably served as Scoutmaster of Troop 28 from 1969 to 1971, when he presided over scout meetings every Tuesday night and taught the boys survival skills such as knot tying, fire starting, proper ax and hatchet technique, camping skills, poisonous plant and snake identification, recognizing edible plants in the wild, first aid and winter survival training. In addition he led the boys on dozens of weekend camping, hiking and canoeing excursions.

Terri has been very active in church and community service. Following are some organizations she has served as a volunteer:
